iNumber Number movie review
Choma’s, a night at the movies can be an expensive one. Movie tickets, popcorn, coke and transport can all leave your purse feeling a little empty.
But this week we watched a movie that was worth every sent. And even better, it’s 100 percent local. Here’s our review on South African heist movie iNumber Number staring S’dumo Mtshali and Presley Chweneyagae.
Chili (Mtshali) is an undercover cop who works alongside fellow policeman Shoes (Chweneyagae). Despite busting many criminal gangs, the team is broke and desperate. Using his undercover connections, Chili hears about a heist about to go down on a cash-in-transit van and convinces Shoes to help him infiltrate the gang and get their hands on some much needed money. The gang is a threatening mix of hardened criminals played by the likes of Owen Sejake, Hlubi Mboya, Carlo Radebe, Israel Makoe, Percy Matsemela, Warren Masemola and Brandon Auret.
What we say
We were on the edge of our seat from the very first scene. It’s a classic Hollywood heist / buddy cop movie but with a local flavour that makes it so much more exciting. The action scenes were heart-stopping, the baddies truly terrifying and leading man S’dumo is just phenomenal (and easy on the eyes).
Choma’s if you’re going to spend your pocket money on anything this month, make sure it’s iNumber Number. Will you be watching it?
