Just like your bedroom, your mind can get cluttered with bad habits and negative thoughts. And just like your bedroom, sometimes a good spring cleaning of your mind is needed to leave you feeling happy and motivated and ready for fresh new experiences and growth.
Let go, forgive & forget
Holding on to things weighs you down and very often keeps you from growing. Did you have a falling out with a friend? Is it still worthwhile to be angry with her? Holding on to resentment is like drinking poison hoping it will harm the other person. At the end of the day, forgiveness is for your own benefit and doesn’t actually mean that the other person is right. You'll be amazed how much better you will feel when you forgive and let go of your bitterness. Chomas, it's like giving your brain and heart a nice long massage!
Get exercise, eat healthy
Going on a spring detox to flush out all of the toxins you may have taken in over winter and commit to living a healthier by exercising just a few days a week. Whatever you put in your body and mind will affect the energy you put out. So, give your body what it needs, choma you will start to feel amazing. Taking good care of yourself is always worth it.
Stop complaining or blaming others
Just like holding on to bitterness and not forgiving, blaming others and complaining all the time is another way to keep your mind away from happy, light thoughts. You know how you feel when you’re around someone who’s always complaining? It’s not fun choma. Do you want to be that person? If you think positively, you’ll start to see things positively, and life has a way of working out. Also, when you start taking responsibility for your actions and stop blaming others, you grow as a person.
Be your own person
Do you sometimes feel like some people just use you? Do you feel like you have to please everyone all the time? Guess what, you don’t! One of the easiest ways to free your mental energy is to get rid of the need to always please everyone and put them before yourself. Now, I’m not saying that you should not help people, and I am definitely not saying that you should become selfish as well. I’m saying that it’s time to see that you matter as well and your feelings and needs are important too. Go and be your amazing self and you’ll see how much better you’ll start to feel.
Face your feelings
Learn to face those feelings you’ve been holding back or hiding from yourself. Unresolved feelings, like when you stop talking to one of your chomas after an argument, tends to stay in your mind for a long time. Has someone made you mad or sad but you don’t have the guts to tell them? Now is the time to do it. Have you had a secret crush on someone for a long time? You have nothing to lose choma, tell them how you feel.
