3 Things to Remind Yourself in 2018
In the ups and downs of life, it can be easy to forget what the important things are. Here’s what you should remind yourself of this year.
You're not in a race
Don’t compare your life to anyone else’s. Success comes in different ways and at different times for everyone Choma, so comparing your life’s progress to someone else will only make you feel down, discouraged and insecure about yourself. Trust your own process (the way your life is happening for you) and understand that you don’t have to compete with anyone to get where you want to go. Appreciate where you are and work on your life the best way you can (you don't have to do what people around you are doing). Your time will come. Even Oprah didn’t become successful until after she was over 30 year’s old!
You have something to offer
Everyone is great at something - yes, even you Choma. Don’t walk around thinking that you’re not as talented as ‘this celebrity’ or as funny as ‘that friend’. You have your own ‘thing’ - that thing that makes you unique, talented and extraordinary. Find that thing and learn to appreciate it. It could be your writing, drawing, voice, imagination - anything. At the end of the day, it is important to remember is that you have something valuable and unique to offer the world and no one can take that away.
You’re absolutely worthy
Never, ever doubt this Choma. Regardless of your background, appearance, past or intelligence don’t allow anyone to make you feel inferior. Don't allow anyone or your circumstance in life make you feel like you don’t deserve healthy relationships or a successful future. You are worthy of good things so work as hard as you want to work, be as proud of yourself as you want to be and dream as big as you want to dream.
It doesn’t matter how you felt last year or even last night, it’s never too late or too early to start celebrating your life. Continue this year with an attitude of appreciation and focus on your happiness.
All the best Choma!
