Choma Loves: 5 Winter accessories that you can wear in Spring
Winter just started a month ago and you did your seasonal shopping, but it’s almost over and you’re probably worried about changing your wardrobe AGAIN. You can stop stressing Choma because I have put together a list of the top 5 trending winter accessories that you may already have in your wardrobe and you can totally rock in Spring.
Moon bag (aka fanny pack or waist bag)
The moon bag is an accessory that has risen to new fashion heights. #ChomaLoves it because it’s portable, it can be worn in different ways and it can also be worn by guys. You can choose to either wear it on your waist or across your shoulder - both ways will still look cool. It also allows you to keep your hands free because you don’t have to carry it on your arm.
You definitely don’t have to put away your scarf just because the warmer days are approaching. What you can do Choma, is use your scarf as a head wrap. Scarves make the best head wraps because they cover hair better. So, you don’t have to worry about your crown or protective hairstyle, like braids, not fitting into the scarf. Light scarves also still make for a cool accessory in the spring. Pair a t-shirt with a light scarf and flowery accessories to put your spring look together.
Choma, do you remember the vintage sunglasses that Rihanna wore at the 71stCannes Film Festival in May? Yup! If you are one of the cool Chomas who owns vintage sunglasses, good on you for having them because they’re here to stay! If you don’t own them, they’re still a hot winter accessory that you can find at shops like Mr Price at an affordable price.
What I really loved about the 2018 Winter is that a lot of bright colours came out play, especially when it comes to berets. A colourful beret is a must-have for Spring. So, you can put your favourite cap away and rock a colourful beret to compliment your look.
Whoever told you that boots must not be worn in warm seasons is misguided. Don’t get me wrong, Uggs or rain boots might look weird in Spring, but does not mean you can’t rock your favourite ankle boots. Pair them with a cool skirt or dress and you’re good to go.
There are a lot of ways in which you can wear your boots and you can definitely pull off any look by making sure it compliments your style.
Just because you bought items in winter, doesn’t mean they’re strictly for that season. Style is all about expressing who you are without having to say a word. It’s okay to switch up once in a while because sticking to the same thing is boring. Dare to be different by creating different looks!
