5 ways to de-stress with your chomas this Spring

After the long cold winter we’re ready to break out and have some fun; especially before we get into studying for exams.

Now that the weather is warming up and the days are getting longer, you have no excuses to grab your chomas and get moving with these spring activities, guaranteed to de-stress and leave you feeling awesome:

Start a garden

Spring is the perfect time for new beginnings and growth, literally. Why not ask your parents, or other elders, if you and your chomas can have a small corner in the garden for your own spring project? Getting your hands dirty together and planting is a great bonding activity, plus it’s also good exercise, believe it or not. You could start a little vegetable garden and plan a dinner party together when it’s time to harvest. Or, you could get artistic and plant an assortment of your favourite flowers, enjoying all that colour and beauty. There’s something really satisfying about watching your handiwork grow, why not share that feeling with your besties?

Get outside

Yes, we can’t get enough of the outdoors in the Spring time, if you have the opportunity why not get your chomas together for a hike or a little picnic?  All that fresh air and exercise will make you feel amazing, and being in nature is good for the soul. Springtime is perfect for this as the weather is not too hot just yet and with all the blossoms out, you’ll be in for a visual treat.

Makeover time

Yes, Spring is a time for new things, so why not get a new look? Get the group together and turn it into an occasion, who knows what you’ll come up with? Ditch those winter layers and spring into a fresh and new look. Remember to have fun and experiment with different looks, that’s what makeover parties are all about.

Get active

Spring activities with your chomas don’t need to be a once off. This is a great time to take up a new sport or try a gym class. How about yoga? Downward Dog (a yoga pose in which the body turns into an inverted V shape, with the hands and feet on the floor, and the buttocks pointing upwards) is so much easier when you have your chomas with you to laugh through it all. With summer on the way, you might want to brush up with your volleyball skills so you can slay on the beach.

Play

The best thing about Spring is it’s waking up from the seriousness of winter. So, ditch the winter blues, grab your chomas and go play: blow bubbles in the park, take up rollerblading or skateboarding, experiment with your artistic side, anything goes!

By turning it into a group activity you multiply the fun. Enjoy it, and have the best spring ever!
