Get your love life on track

If 2014 left your love life in tatters, it’s time to wipe your slate clean, and start afresh in the New Year.

Get your love life back on track with advice from celebs – that believe it or not – have some good advice when it comes to love and relationships. Local actress, Linda Sokhulu, for one, calls herself an ‘unashamed romantic’. Well-known for her role as Nikiwe in the SABC3 soapie Isidingo, Linda notes that her best love song is ‘Just the two of us’. “The line ‘we can make it if we try’ makes me realise that in relationships people can fix things if both parties want to.”

Well chomas, if there is a way to fix your relationship, then why not give it a second try. If not, then it’s time to move on with these wise words in mind:

Accept the inevitable

“If you text ‘I love you’ and the person writes back an emoji – no matter what that emoji is, they don’t love you back.” – Chelsea Peretti, stand-up comedian, actress and writer.

Get over the heartache

“Once you’re back on your feet – if you ever make it back on your feet – that’s the ultimate achievement. I remember I was in New York at the Trump Hotel and I woke up and I just knew I was over it. It was a different day. I felt different, I didn’t feel lonely. I felt like I wanted to get up and be in the world. That was a great, great feeling.” – Rihanna, singer.

Know that everything happens for a reason

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.” – Marilyn Munroe, actress.

Don’t give up

“Continue to share your heart with people even it is broken.” — Amy Poehler, actress, comedian, producer and writer.

Good luck!
