October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It’s a month to increase awareness and an opportunity to show your support for breast cancer patients and survivors. Here’s how you can show your support:
Wear pink
The pink ribbon is an international symbol for Breast Cancer Awareness. Wearing a pink ribbon or wearing a pink outfit is a simple way to express moral support for those who have been diagnosed and continue to fight breast cancer. You can also upload a picture of you and your friends wearing this pink ribbon/attire to your social media with a special hashtag related to breast cancer. Tag 3 friends and challenge them to upload their own photos showing support.
Know your facts about breast cancer
It’s important to know your facts about breast cancer and also be mindful of your own body to identify whether you’re at risk. It is advisable to examine your breasts regularly and be aware of any changes or symptoms.
Remember lowering the risks and early detection can make breast cancer more treatable.
Educate a friend
Another way to show support is to educate those around you at home, work or school about the facts, the signs, and significance of regular breast examinations.
Join a social media movement
There are many online Breast Cancer Awareness campaigns happening across social media platforms, especially this month. So why not join in on any of these social media campaigns Choma. This is a good way to spread positivity and be an ally for Breast Cancer Awareness.
