What you can do for Valentine’s Day if you’re single

Valentine’s Day is a holiday that most people in relationships look forward to because they celebrate the concept of love with their partners. If you happen to be single, then the 14th of February could be an annoying day for you. You don’t have to worry though, being single doesn’t mean that you can’t do anything. Here are a few things that you can do for Valentine’s Day if you’re not in a romantic relationship:

Make it Galentine’s Day

Galentine’s Day is basically you and your girls (or gals) celebrating your love for each other as a group. Gather all of your friends and spend the day together, and do something that you all enjoy. You can read this article for inspiration.

Write a letter to someone special

Valentine’s Day is not about romantic love, but all about all kinds of love. If you can think of someone that you love – whether it’s your parents, favourite teacher or best friend – then spread the love by writing a letter to let them know that they’re appreciated.

Spoil yourself

There’s nothing greater than self-love Choma. Just because you’re not in a relationship doesn’t mean that you can’t spoil yourself. So, go ahead and buy yourself a bar of chocolate or your favourite ice cream.

Bond with your celebrity crush

Binge watch a few movies from your favourite celebrity crush or listen to their music. They may not be there in person, but they’re definitely with you in spirit.

More than anything, it’s important to put yourself and happiness first. Being single on Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean you’re unlovable. Don’t hold back on appreciating and loving yourself because your self-love is most important.
